                                                            The St. Andrew’s Gathering

In 2001 Lodge St. Andrew, No. 1587, Livingston Station, proposed that all the Lodges "St. Andrew", within the role of The Grand Lodge Of Scotland, meet once a year. The meetings to be held at the respective Lodges, on a rotating basis. The Rt.W.M.'s from each attending Lodge would participate in the ceremony of the day by taking a set part of the proceedings.
This being approved, the first "Gathering" was hosted by Lodge No. 1587, at Livingston Station. Fifteen members of our Lodge travelled by mini-bus to Livingston and we were warmly welcomed by the hosting Brethren and enjoyed a 1st Degree, albeit a "mock" degree. Rt.W.M. Bro. R. Ballingham officiated. Our own Rt.W.M. Bro. Iain MacLeod performed The Charge to the Initiate, admirably.
The fraternity of the day was well rounded off with an exceptional Harmony, and many new friendships were made. The Ardersier gang continued the Harmony in the mini-bus, on the journey home!
