Ladies Night 2006

On Friday 3rd March a grand evening was enjoyed at The Chieftain Hotel on the occasion of Rt.W.M. Dougie Robertson's second "Ladies Night".  Dougie was accompanied by his Good Lady Christabel.

The food was good, the company was great, the music was marvellous, the dancing was delightful and the crak' was well, something else!  It was indeed a shame that mother nature decided to inflict us with a foot of snow, which kept a few of the more distant partiers at home.

A GRAND raffle ensued, and we thank all the kind benefactors for their very generous donations.

Music for the evening was well provided by "The Hilltones", of whom our own I.P.M. Stewart Robertson has found fame and fortune tinkling the ivories.

A really grand evening was had by all, and everybody managed to get home safely in spite of the snow.

On Saturday 14th January we were honoured by the presence of Rt.W.P.G.M. Bro. Robert Watt, on the occasion of the Re-Installation of our Bro. Dougie Robertson to The Chair Of King Solomon.
The gavel was presented to Bro. Uisdean Mutch P.M. as Installing Master.
Bro. Bob Watt then read The Charges, and the ceremony continued under the direction of Bro. Uisdean, ably assisted by W.I.S.W. Bro. Norman MacDonald P.M., W.I.J.W. Bro. Jim Dowie P.M., I.I.G. Bro. Iain MacLeod P.M. and I.D.o.C. Bro. Stewart Robertson I.P.M. Certain Proclamations and Addresses were also delivered by Bro. Alastair MacLeod, Bro. Tom Lawrenson, Bro. Frank Akroyd, Bro. A. MacLeod P.M. (Lodge 43) and Bro. E. Smith P.M. (Lodge 1379).
The ceremony completed, R.W.I.M. presented Bro. Dougie with The Gavel Of Office who was then warmly congratulated by P.G.M. and all assembled Brethren.
Lodge business was then concluded and all Brethren retired for a warm and convivial Harmony.
